Regular Admission

The school admits both Boys and Girls ( subject to the availability of seats irrespective of any distinction of caste, creed, colour or social status and strictly in accordance with the norms of the CBSE and Governments.

For admission into LKG, UKG and I the age will be calculated as of 31st March of the admission year as stipulated by the CBSE:

For LKG the Child should have completed 3 years
For UKG the Child should have completed 4 years
For Standard / Grade I the Child should have completed 5 years

For admission into other classes viz. from Standard / Grade II upwards the Transfer Certificate issued by the previous School will be taken into consideration. But it is mandatory that the School where the Child last studied should have been formally recognized by any Government or affiliated to any Board like CBSE, ICSE etc.

Generally the following certificates / documents will be required to be produced (both the Original and the Xerox copies) at the time of admission :

Birth Certificate issued by the Competent Authority for proof of age;

Community Certificate - if the Child belongs to any Backward Community (BC), Most or Other Backward Community (MBC or OBC), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) etc.

Transfer Certificate issued by the previous recognized School;
Report Card, Mark Statement, Conduct Certificate etc. issued by the previous recognized School;
Migration Certificate issued by the Competent Authority,
Blood Group - issued by a registered Laboratory;
Recently taken passport sized colour photograph of the Child - 3 Nos.

Intimation regarding the date of admission for the next academic year 2016 - 2017 will be sent to the existing Parents / Guardians through SMS to their Mobile Numbers and / or through a formal Circular. The same will displayed in the School Notice Boards. For General Public, an advertisement in some Tamil Dailies and 'The Hindu' may also be published

Since the next academic session will start from April 2016 the entire process of admission may begin from December 2015 or January 2016 itself.

Once the intimation regarding the admission is received the Parents / Guardians who are interested and keen in admitting their Child can contact the School Office in person and obtain the 'Application for Admission'. They can send their representative also and obtain the form.

Depending upon the need and demand Special Admission may be done for KG Classes on Vijayadasami but strictly as per the CBSE norms regarding age criterion. However, registration may be done for the next academic year 2016 - 2017 as per the CBSE norms.

The application can be carefully filled up and submitted along with the Xerox copies of required documents. The applications will be scrutinized and eligible Children will be invited.

On receipt of the invitation from the School Office, both the Parents viz. the Father and the Mother should come with the Child. Both Guardians viz. the Husband and Wife should come with the Child if the Child is living with them. They should come with the Originals and the Xerox copies of available certificates / documents. After verification by the School Office and attestation by the Principal the Originals will be returned to the Parents / Guardians.

The Parents / Guardians will be invited if everything is found to be in order and the Provisional Admission will be granted to the Child. Once the prescribed fees are paid and the originals are handed over in the School Office the admission will be confirmed.

During the time of submission of filled in application and for a personal meeting with the Principal at the time of admission both Parents or Guardians should come with the Child. Others in the family circle or friend's circle also can accompany the Parents / Guardians and the Child.

If the Child is coming from other Schools they should come in the previous school uniform.

Obtaining Application for Admission, submission of filled up application and reporting for the admission on time are essential for getting admission for the Children. Otherwise, the Children may have to miss out their opportunity of getting admitted.

Generally if there is demand from the existing Parents and Guardians of RSV as well as General Public Children may be admitted into KG classes on the most auspicious VIJAYADASAMI Day. However, the admission will be based on the eligibility of the Children with regard to their completing 3 years of age for LKG and 4 years of age for UKG in the month of March to June 2015 as per the CBSE Norms.

Besides, all the above mentioned procedures / formalities are to be completed. Admission in other classes depends on availability of vacant seats and subject to the compliance of the CBSE Norms.
